In response to someone elses post

On another forum someone wrote in response to a post I made which is a duplicate of the post on homosexuality that I previously posted.Their post is below and following it are 3 posts I made in response.

You will notice that their post lists verses taken out of context. You can prove any viewpoint by taking verses out of context. The whole paragraph needs to be considered plus it needs to be judged by other scripture.

To me it is more important to try to win as many for Christ as possible while there is still time and I do not see how you can be a effective witness to gays and lesbians if you are spouting hatered and bigiotry. We are told to love others and to not repay evil for evil. By persecuting these persons we defeat the purpose of the Gospel and the great commission. Which is more important winning others to Christ or proving that we are right?

Is Homosexuality Sin?

Is it shown to be wrong in the Bible and by medical science?

Most assuredly YES!

Gen 2:24 “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” [The word “wife” here (ish-shaw', naw-sheem') is found 780 times in the Old Testament, and when used in reference to a person(s) it always refers to either a women or a wife (singular or plural), but NEVER TO A MAN. Likewise the word for wife (goo-nay') in the New Testament (cf. Mat. 19:5). Neither is there any sanction anywhere in God's Word for any homosexual union of any type.]

Lev 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." [homosexual relations controvert the natural order established by God, and are morally perverse and anatomically (etc.) incorrect.]

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death: their blood shall be upon them.." [The severity of this sin, along with others, is seen in the penalty it requires. No nation has escaped Divine judgment for sanctioning it.]

Genesis 19:5 And they [the men of Sodom] called unto Lot and said unto him, "Where are the men who came into thee this night? Bring them out unto us, that we may know them." [the word "know" in this context is contextually demonstrated to mean sexually (see v.Cool, as it is in the reference below].

Judges 19:22 "Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about and beat at the door, and spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, 'Bring forth the man who came into thine house, that we may know him.' [They then sexually abused a women to death (V.25).

Jude 1:7 ".. even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, in like manner giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." [From the climatic sinful practice of Sodom comes the term "Sodomite" to describe those who practice sexual acts with "strange flesh,” as it is abnormal for men to have sexual relations with men rather than with women. Only the latter act is morally sanctioned in marriage.

1Kings 14:24 "And there were also sodomites in the land, and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel." [Sodomy is a fruit of idolatry.]

Romans 1:26, 27 "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men, working that which is unseemly [shameful], and receiving in themselves [in their own bodies] that recompense for their error which was meet." [A full reading of this chapter reveals that the sin of men "leaving the natural use of the woman" to engage in sexual acts with each other is the last stage of a number of progressive steps of degeneration. God warns and history reveals that when a nation yields to such it's demise is not far behind. The only hope for redemption is to repent and surrender in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ, "who loved me and gave Himself for me" - Gal. 2:20]

1Corinthians 6:9 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, ..”

1Tim. 1:10 .. the lawless and disobedient, ... them that defile themselves with mankind .. [male-copulator; laws are necessary against such]

Rev. 22:15 .. without [the Heaven city] are dogs [synonym for homosexuals], and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Medical studies reveal that the overwhelming majority of male homosexuals have sexual relations with a multiplicity of partners through the course of their lives (even if “married”) resulting in a greatly increased rate of disease and premature death (by up to 30 years).

Among other things, the unnatural sexual practices of homosexuals generally result in:

A much greater incidence of sexually transmitted diseases (STD's).

Greater incidence of infectious hepatitis which increases the risk of potentially fatal liver cancer.

Increased rates of many types of bowel diseases [the male is not designed for sex with men. as with women]

Substantially reduced life expectancy [1,000 times greater chance of dying from just AID's alone], and or dependence upon very costly drug “cocktails” to prolong life.

Much higher rates of death by suicide.

Even worse, an increasingly reprobate mind that will not/cannot yield to Christ.

God's laws are holy just and good (Rm. 7:12) and to our benefit when obeyed. We dishonor God and help no one by justifying sin (such as sodomy) which is demonstrably shown to be overall harmful physically, mentally, and spiritually. Only by admitting your sinfulness and guilt and turning instead to the Lord Jesus can you be saved from sin to follow Him!

In Gods eyes all sin is equal and fornication, adultery, incest, drunkenness, rage, bitterness, hatred, stealing etc all are equally punishable by death if we do not accept Jesus as our saviour. To put one sin above another and to not offer those who need Jesus the most The chance to come to know the Lord because of our blind hatred is wrong and most assuredly makes God my Heavenly Father, and Jesus my Lord and Saviour and The Holy spirit inside me and inside all who are truly Gods children, makes our Heavenly Father angry. Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well to go and sin no more (He did told tell her how to not sin any more) and we need to say go and sin no more (and not tell them how to sin no more) and then let God do the work of changing them not us.

Who are you to question Gods Holy word?! Are you somehow less sinful than the man down the street who is still suffering in his sinfulness? Are you righteous enough to cast the first stone? Where were you when God created the Heavens? Do you dare claim to be better than God? Is your righteous indignation somehow better because you chase away sinners who need God word and help!? Who appointed you Lord of all?!

I dare say that Love is what is needed to bring these people to Christ not self righteous pompous mouthing off. Get off your high horse and get down to where the people are. Become approachable, show love to all, be humble and realize that you do not deserve heaven any more than the homosexual sitting beside you.

You risk becoming like the pharisees so watch out and repent so that God may forgive your sin and show you a better way!!

I leave you with some verses to ponder since you choose to judge me and others.

Matthew 7

Judging Others

1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

New International Version
Romans 2

God's Righteous Judgment

1You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment? 4Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?

5But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6God "will give to each person according to what he has done."[a] 7To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 8But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. 9There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 11For God does not show favoritism.

12All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) 16This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.
The Jews and the Law

17Now you, if you call yourself a Jew; if you rely on the law and brag about your relationship to God; 18if you know his will and approve of what is superior because you are instructed by the law; 19if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, 20an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of infants, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth— 21you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal? 22You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23You who brag about the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? 24As it is written: "God's name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you."[b]

25Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised. 26If those who are not circumcised keep the law's requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised? 27The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the[c] written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker.

28A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. 29No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God.

New International Version
Romans 12

Living Sacrifices

1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship. 2Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

3For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. 4Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his[b]faith. 7If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; 8if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.
Love

9Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.

17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"[d]says the Lord. 20On the contrary:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."[e] 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

And this is the way I live my live to reach others:

New International Version
1 Corinthians 9

19Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. 23I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.
